Skin Check
All Doctors are trained to undertake skin checks and are able to perform minor procedures to treat or remove skin lesions.
More complex issues will be referred to a Dr with a particular interest.
Skin Checks are provided by all Doctors, however the following Doctors have a particular interest in this specialty,

The appointment requires 15 to 30 minutes of your time, the Doctor will check your skin thoroughly making use of clinical lighting and a hand held dermatoscope.

Skin Check – Dermengine
Is a comprehensive, full head to toe skin check using the most up to date digital technology called Dermengine. Use of this method requires 30 minutes of your time.
This facility is utilised by some of our practioners offering advanced dermatology software with analytics, tele dermatology, clinical decision support and smart dermoscopy features. Molescope 2 is used in conjunction with Dermengine, a mobile dermatoscope for detailed view of the skin through magnification and specialized lighting.

Skin Biopsy
A diagnostic punch or shave biopsy of a lesion to determine the histology, this is an additional cost to a skin check, $68.90 Medicare rebate $48.90 a treatment room fee may apply.
Removal of Lesion
On the day of the procedure there will be a treatment room fee payable $48.40. This is a private fee – no medicare rebate applies.

When the results of your skin lesion have been reviewed by the Dr, you will be advised of the findings and any further course of treatment will be discussed you.
Our finance team will then contact you to advise the final cost of your procedure. This is payable by credit card over the phone or by direct deposit.
