Margaret River Surgery
Margaret River Surgery was first established in 1985. Located approximately 3hrs drive from Perth, Margaret River has a population of 10,000 + and is a very popular tourist destination with an influx of tourists and itinerant workers during the warmer months of the year. Margaret River offers a rural ambience and lifestyle – fine wines, art, fishing and surfing. In addition to the normal range of general practice care, doctors also provide obstetric care, anaesthetics and minor surgery including removal of lesions and vasectomies. Visiting specialist’s consult monthly and pathology services are available Monday to Friday mornings.
Cowaramup Surgery
Cowaramup Surgery opened its doors on the 18th August 2008. Cowaramup is roughly central to the Margaret River Wine Region. It is the closest town site to a number of wineries and breweries and other specialty producers including, the Margaret River Chocolate Factory, and the Margaret River Cheese Company. The town is close to Cowaramup Bay, a popular swimming and surfing beach. As such a large number of tourists to the region pass through and visit the town and play an important role in the local economy. Locals from the region often refer to the town as “Cowtown”, a reference to the use of “cow” in the town’s name and its history of dairy farming. As you drive through the main street of the town you will come across many replica Cows scattered throughout in homage to the dairy town. Cowaramup Surgery provides all aspects of general medicine; other services include pathology and physiotherapy including pelvic health and lymphoedema.
